The beautiful, wooded suburb of Mountain Lakes is located about 40 miles away from New York City  is often rated one of the “best small towns in New Jersey.”

Those who live here refer to themselves as “Lakers.” Mountain Lakes is surrounded by nine  man-made lakes! These lakes span approximately 162 acres, and include: Sunset Lake, Crystal Lake, Birchwood Lake, Olive Lake, Shadow Lake, Cove Lake, Reservoir Lake, Mountain Lake, and Wildwood Lake.

Developer Herbert J. Hapgood   began working in 1910 to transform this area in Morris County into a unique private community.   When strolling through this beautiful area  you’ll find elegant, colonial style stucco homes, each with their own unique look.

Outdoor activities  are quite common here. Whether ice skating on the lake in the winter to kayaking and swimming in the summer months- there's no shortage of things to do.
