My Favorite Online Home Good Shops

Here's a list of my all time favorite places to shop for everything for your home, from your home! Decor, furniture, bedding, art, throw pillows, area rugs, etc....

The busier my life gets the less I enjoy shopping! Yes, you heard me right-but what I really mean is I’d much rather shop online these days. Don’t get scared my friends- same old Kim over here.

In the last few years I find myself shopping for home goods and yes, even furniture, online. The one thing I won't buy online is an actual mattress or couch though- you have to feel the love to know if those purchases are right. But, everything else is fair game for online shopping.

When shopping online make sure you read the fine print. You’ll want to make sure you check measurements, delivery options and fees, assembly options, materials, etc. If you do your homework you can find some amazing pieces of furniture, art, décor, linens, lighting, hardware, etc. Anything you can possibly imagine can be found online- and sometimes at steep discounts.

If you're in the market for some big ticket items like a coffee table or new bed frame, here's a tip: Shop on holiday weekends when you can usually find the biggest sales.

Here’s some of my favorite online home stores!

Wayfair

Everything from bedding and area rugs to bathroom vanities and kitchen appliances, you can find them here. they often have huge sales, so shop smart and you might be able to find some great deals.

When I recently redid my daughters room, I scored this awesome white dresser with gold hardware at Wayfair for $350!

One Kings Lane

I adore this site. I have found some great throw pillows, a vintage clock and lots of other goodies over the years. They also have a customized shop where you can design your own pieces with the fabrics of your choice.

Perigold

For a more unique and eclectic designer, this is the place to go. Although, nothing is really a bargain, they have some of the most unique finds around. If you're looking for that special piece and your budget can handle it, then hop over to this site. Or if you need some design inspiration, just play around here and it will definitely spark some great ideas.

Houzz

What I love about House is that you can see actual pictures of homes and rooms designed by some great designers across the country, and then shop for the same looks. You can find tile and wallpaper as well as end tables and lighting. You can literally spend hours saving different ideas and then shop for what you love best! But be warned, this site is totally addicting!

Joss and Main

Rustic Decor, Coastal Decor, Cottage Decor and Glam Decor are the categories they break down some of their fabulous merchandise. They also have a category called the weekly drop for finds under $20. So no matter what your flavor is, I'm pretty you can find what you're looking for here.

I was researching some chair designs with gold accents for a client and within 5 minutes found these beauties below!

Gilt Home

When you think of Gilt you probably think of fashion, but their home site has just as many great finds. It's hit or miss from one week to the next, but I found some great bedding and home gifts here. The Furniture Shop, The Rug Shop, The Bed & Bath Shop- how can you go wrong. Shipping is fast and some sales are phenomenal! A lot of high end finds are almost half off regular store prices, making them totally affordable.

Z Gallerie

I think of modern when I shop here, but I love mixing old and new so some of the pieces I find totally works for my eclectic ( sometimes chaotic) life! Check out their look-books for some great ideas and inspiration!

Chairish

Chairish is a consignment shop, but this is no typical consignment. This is the place where the uber rich and sometimes famous consign the ridiculously expensive furniture, art and decor and sell it for a fraction of what is was once worth so paupers like us can afford it! The other cool thing is they allow small businesses too sell goods on here too. You'll find a little bit of everything here! In fact I've had my eye on an Hermes Inspired (meaning knock-off) tray for a while, but do I really need it?

Hermes Inspired Tray $125

Rue La La

Not only can you find clothing for the whole family here, but you can decorate your entire home too. They have everything from furniture to candles and mops and brooms! You can find some great deals too! Nothing is outrageous and everything is still cheaper than most retail stores too-it's almost like shopping at Home Goods online!

ABC Carpet and Home

When I lived in NYC this was where I dreamed I'd shop for my home. I would always find myself browsing but never buying. Now that I'm a grown up (Ahem) I can! I bought an amazing side table here that we still use today and every now and then I find some new things to fall in love with. But with rugs as much as 50K I don't buy in bulk here!

Hayneedle

When I was redecorating my sons room, I literally shopped and looked everywhere for there right furniture. I had my eye on a set from Restoration Hardware, but since he was only 9 years old I thought better of it. Well, we found an entire set we fell in love with from Hayneedle and it was about 1K less than RH. The pieces are solid and shipping was fast and reasonable.

Happy shopping! Did I miss any good ones? Please share your favorites with me so I can check them out!
